They fear for Mendy’s life: transferred to one of the harshest prisons in the UK

The British newspaper, "The Sun", reported that the English security authorities in UK decided to transfer the French footballer for Manchester City, Benjamin Mendy, who was frozen in the club's chains, to another maximum-security prison.

Mendy has been charged with seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, and one source who is familiar with the ongoings in Strangeways - also known as HMP Manchester - said he is likely to experience difficult surroundings.
It is a maximum security prison since those responsible feared for the safety and physical integrity of the French player, who has been transferred together with another prisoner accused of the same crime, Louis Saha Matturie. It is feared that Mendy will be attacked by other inmates, hence the Frenchman’s transfer.
However, The Sun now reports that the France international was switched from HMP Altcourse to Strangeways before Christmas.
Mendy was moved to Strangeways, officially known as HMP Manchester, due to growing fears over his safety.
Strangeways is a top-security prison and previously hosted notorious serial killer Harold Shipman and Manchester serial rapist Reynhard Sinaga.
