Al-Nassr opens its offers to include Diaz

Press reports have revealed that Saudi club Al-Nassr is preparing to submit a large financial offer to sign Colombian Luis Diaz, the Liverpool star, during the current summer transfer window, as part of its efforts to bolster its ranks with international stars. According to the British newspaper, The Sun, Al-Nassr is preparing an £85 million offer to persuade the Reds to part ways with their star winger, especially after successfully renewing Cristiano Ronaldo's contract until 2027, confirming the club's desire to continue building on its star-studded project. Although Liverpool have announced their commitment to the player and have no intention of selling him this summer, reports have indicated that Diaz may be open to the idea of leaving, especially given the lack of negotiations to extend his contract and the increasing talk of the English club signing new attacking players, most notably German star Florian Wirtz. During the 2024-25 season, Diaz performed exceptionally well, scoring 17 goals and providing 8 assists in 50 matches across all competitions, playing a key role in Liverpool's 20th Premier League title win. Diaz had been linked with a move to Barcelona, but the option of playing at Camp Nou receded after the Catalan club came close to completing a deal for Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams. For its part, Al-Nassr is seeking to seize the opportunity and enter the race to sign the Colombian winger, as he is one of the club's top targets this summer.
