Neymar decides his future with Santos

Press reports have revealed that Brazilian star Neymar da Silva is close to deciding his future with his current club, Santos, which he joined last January on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Saudi club Al-Hilal. Brazilian website UOL reported that Santos has reached a preliminary agreement with Neymar to renew his contract, which officially expires on June 30. The club is awaiting the player's signature to finalize the deal and officially announce it. Neymar joined Santos earlier this year after a brief stint with Saudi club Al Hilal. The club is seeking to renew his contract for an additional season, which includes a bonus system linked to the number of matches played and goals scored. This season, Neymar has participated in 14 matches with Santos, scoring three goals and providing three assists. He was also sent off in his last match against Botafogo in the eleventh round of the Brazilian league. Neymar left Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023 to join Saudi club Al-Hilal, but was unable to shine due to injuries. He returned to Santos on a half-season contract in January 2025 after a several-year absence.
