Güler breaks Real Madrid record!

Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler has made it clear he feels more responsible under new coach Xabi Alonso, demonstrating this with his impressive performance against Pachuca in the Club World Cup, where he set a new record. In the second-round match between the two teams, Güler scored Real Madrid's second goal in the 43rd minute, bringing his tally to 12 goals for the club since joining, breaking a record that had stood for more than 25 years. At 20 years and 117 days, Güler became the youngest player in Real Madrid's history to score in the Club World Cup, surpassing Nicolas Anelka, who scored in 2000 against Al-Nassr at the age of 20 years and 297 days. This achievement comes after his teammate Gonzalo Garcia scored against Al Hilal at the age of 21 years and 86 days, making him Real Madrid's third-youngest scorer in this competition, behind Anelka and Cameroonian Jérémy Njitap, who scored against Raja Casablanca in 2000 at the age of 21 years and 21 days. This progress reflects coach Xabi Alonso's vision of relying on a young squad, whose average age does not exceed 24 years, as part of a plan to renew and build a bright future for the Royal Club.
