Dembele's return revives PSG's hopes against Seattle

French international striker Ousmane Dembélé has returned to group training with his club Paris Saint-Germain, during the team's training camp in Irvine, suburb of Los Angeles, days before the highly anticipated match against the Seattle Sounders in the final group stage of the 2025 Club World Cup. Dembélé has been out of action since suffering a thigh muscle injury playing for France against Spain on June 5. Since arriving in the United States on June 10, the player has limited himself to individual training before returning to full training. The former Barcelona player missed the team's first two matches of the tournament, being left out of the squad for the emphatic 4-0 win over Atlético Madrid and the shock 1-0 loss to Botafogo at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Dembele's absence was evident in the second match, as the French team looked less effective offensively and lacked creativity in building attacks. This is something coach Luis Enrique hopes will change with the return of his speedy winger, ahead of the crucial match that will determine the team's fate in the race for a place in the round of 16.
