One fan dies and 11 are injured: a tragic night in Algeria

A tragic incident occurred at an Algerian football stadium, after several fans of the Mouloudia Club of Algiers were injured after falling from the stands during the team's match against Najm M'Kira. According to Algerian press reports, Civil Protection announced that 11 fans were injured and one person died after a number of them fell from the upper stands of the July 5 Olympic Stadium. This occurred during the match of the last round of the Algerian League, which saw Mouloudia crowned champions. Civil Protection units intervened urgently. An advanced medical center was set up at the site, and the operation was reinforced with 10 ambulances from the National Training and Intervention Unit to ensure rapid care for the injured. The report indicated that the victims fell from the upper stands, at a time when the stadium was packed with Mouloudia fans, who had come in large numbers to support their team as it won the championship title. The injured were treated on the spot before being transported to the hospital for medical care. Civil Protection also indicated that the process of rescuing the fans is still underway.
