Perfect record supports Paris to cross Botafogo

Paris Saint-Germain is gearing up for a tough match against Brazilian side Botafogo in the second round of the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States. This is a historic match, as it is the first time a French team has faced a non-European opponent in an official match. Luis Enrique's side enters the match in high spirits, following their 4-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the first round, the latest in a string of three consecutive victories in all competitions, without conceding a single goal and scoring 12 goals. The European champions are the favorites to win, while Botafogo will be hoping to continue their positive results, having defeated Seattle Sounders 2-1 in the first round. The Brazilian side will be relying on the capabilities of their striker Igor Jesus, who has become a real threat inside the penalty area, having scored his last three headed goals. The match is expected to be intense and open, especially with the presence of prominent stars in the Paris Saint-Germain ranks, including Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who assisted two goals in the previous match and has been directly involved in five goals in the last three matches.
