Inzaghi: We want to be among the top teams in the Club World Cup

Al-Hilal's Italian coach Simone Inzaghi confirmed his team's readiness to face Real Madrid on Wednesday in the opening match of the Club World Cup, while also noting the absence of Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic due to injury. "The atmosphere here is hotter, but we tried to adapt as best we could and prepared well through training," Inzaghi said during a press conference held early Wednesday ahead of the anticipated match. The Italian coach added, "Despite the short preparation period, as we've only had four training sessions, we're entering the match with great ambition. Our primary goal is to develop the team, and our ambition is to establish Al Hilal among the best clubs in the Club World Cup." He continued, "We have confidence in our abilities, and we will do our best to perform well in the tournament. We haven't played many warm-up matches, but this tournament represents a valuable opportunity for us, and we will strive to go far in it." Inzaghi praised the atmosphere at Al Hilal since taking over, saying, "From day one, I was warmly welcomed. The environment here is excellent, the facilities and infrastructure are top-notch, and there is a daily desire to improve. The team includes a distinguished group of players who worked under great coaches like Jesus last season." Regarding his technical options, Inzaghi explained that the team is suffering from three injuries, including the absence of striker Mitrovic from the match against Real Madrid, describing this as a "difficult moment" that the team is seeking to overcome. Regarding his assessment of Real Madrid's new coach, Xabi Alonso, Inzaghi said: "We've watched some clips from Real Madrid's matches. I'm a huge fan of Alonso's style of play with Bayer Leverkusen, and I have great respect for him. We'll give our all in the match."
