Ronaldo gifts Trump a shirt with a fiery message of peace

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Saudi Al-Nassr club, presented his official Portugal national team jersey to US President Donald Trump, signed with a message that read: "To President Donald Trump... Playing for Peace." The gift came on the sidelines of the G7 summit held in Canada, where Antonio Costa, President of the European Council, presented the jersey to the US President during an official meeting between them during the summit. Trump warmly received the gift and was keen to pose for a souvenir photo with the jersey, which bears the signature of one of the world's most prominent football legends. This gift comes after Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, won the UEFA Nations League title with his country, defeating Spain 5-3 on penalties after the match ended in a 2-2 draw after regular and extra time. This title is a new addition to Ronaldo's golden record, which includes winning five Golden Balls and three major tournaments with the Portuguese national team: the 2016 European Championship and two UEFA Nations League titles. The G7 summit is held annually between the leaders of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan, to discuss major global economic and political issues.
