El-Shenawy surpasses Neuer's historic achievement

Mohamed El-Shenawy, Al Ahly's goalkeeper and captain, achieved a historic achievement in the Club World Cup, after keeping a clean sheet in the opening match of the 2025 edition against their American counterpart, Inter Miami, which took place at dawn on Sunday. 
Al Ahly and their American counterpart, Inter Miami, drew 0-0 in the opening match of the expanded version of the 2025 Club World Cup, which took place at dawn on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium. 
Mohamed El-Shenawy became the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets in the history of the Club World Cup with five matches, surpassing the previous record held by German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who had four matches. 
Al Ahly will face Brazilian Palmeiras in their second match in the Club World Cup next Thursday evening in the second round of the group stage.
