Brazil tops the list of Club World Cup players

Brazil will account for the lion's share of the players participating in the 2025 Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States with the participation of 32 teams from various continents, making it the largest edition in the tournament's history. According to official statistics, Brazilian players top the list with 141 players, clearly ahead of Argentina, which ranks second with 103 players, followed by Spain with 54 players, and Portugal with 49. This large Brazilian presence is a result of the presence of four Brazilian clubs in the tournament, in addition to the Samba players spread across clubs from all continents. The list of other prominent nationalities includes: Mexico (41), the United States (40), France (37), Germany and Italy (36 each), and Morocco and South Africa (31). Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Egypt also record a notable presence, with 25, 25, and 23 players, respectively. These numbers reveal the diverse global nature of the tournament, with players from 81 nationalities participating. A club like Los Angeles FC also serves as a model of diversity, with 17 nationalities represented in its ranks. These statistics confirm that the 2025 Club World Cup will be the most inclusive tournament in terms of global representation, something FIFA President Gianni Infantino has described as "a global football festival in every sense of the word."
