Tottenham shocks Son with a surprising decision

Press reports indicate that Tottenham Hotspur is seriously considering selling its South Korean captain, Son Heung-min, during the summer transfer window to finance a restructuring of the team, despite his long and distinguished career that spanned a full decade in North London. According to the British newspaper, The Telegraph, the club believes the time may be right to bid farewell to one of its most prominent legends, especially with only one year remaining on Son's contract, which could be the last chance to generate a lucrative financial return from his sale. Several clubs in the Saudi Roshen League have expressed interest in signing the Korean star. Son, 32, joined Tottenham in 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen and has since made 454 appearances, scoring 173 goals and providing 101 assists. Despite contributing 11 goals and 10 assists in 46 games this season, his form has declined significantly, prompting the club to consider opening the door for his exit. In a move to protect the player's market value, the club extended his contract for an additional season last January, allowing Tottenham to sell him for a good price this summer, especially given his popularity in Asia, which makes him an attractive option for the Saudi league.
