Enrique repeats Guardiola's Champions League achievement

Spanish coach Luis Enrique achieved a major accomplishment in his coaching career, leading his team Paris Saint-Germain to the Champions League title for the first time in their history, following a crushing 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final match held on Saturday evening at the Allianz Arena, the home of Bayern Munich. With this achievement, Enrique became only the second coach in football history to achieve the historic treble (local league, domestic cup, and Champions League) with two different teams, equaling the record set by his compatriot Pep Guardiola. According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Enrique succeeded in leading Paris to a treble this season, after achieving a similar achievement with Barcelona in the 2014-2015 season, when he led the Catalan team to the Champions League title at the expense of Juventus, with the help of the famous trio of Messi, Suarez, and Neymar. Guardiola was the first to achieve this rare feat when he led Barcelona to a historic treble in 2009, and then repeated the feat with Manchester City in the 2022-23 season, also defeating Inter in the Istanbul final.
