Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski sent a touching message to the team's fans following the end of his third season with the Blaugrana, confirming his continued stay with the club next season. The Polish striker appeared in a video posted on the club's official social media accounts, saying: "Hello, Barcelona fans, how are you? I would like to say that I am very proud of the team, very proud of what we have achieved this season, and I think you are all very happy with what we have achieved on the pitch. Thank you very much for your support. See you next season. Farewell." Lewandowski, who finished the season with a brace against Athletic Bilbao, took his tally to 42 goals in 52 games this season, spread across all four competitions, marking one of his best seasons in a Barcelona shirt despite turning 36. Injuries had kept him out of the European Golden Shoe race, won by Kylian Mbappé (31 goals), and the Pichichi Trophy, but his impressive numbers made his continued presence an obvious choice for the technical management, led by Hansi Flick, who will rely on rotating him with the brilliance of his replacement, Ferran Torres. The 2024-25 season is set to be Lewandowski's best since joining Barcelona, with his total goals for the club reaching 101 so far.
