Flick talks about Barcelona's summer transfer plan

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said he was proud of his players after the team's excellent season following their 3-2 La Liga defeat to Villarreal. Flick said after the match: "You knew the team a year ago and you know it now, so you are better able to evaluate the team. For me, the team is at the level I want it to be. Of course, there are things that can and should be improved in some aspects, but in the end, it has been a great season." He added: "I think the Atletico Madrid match at home was a great example. We played excellently despite the loss. After that match, I told the players: If we play at this level, anything is possible. By not giving up and trying everything, the results will come step by step, day by day. I am happy that this approach is paying off." Regarding the Catalan team's summer transfer plans, the German coach explained: "Yes, there are players who will leave and we need reinforcements. As I said recently, I will talk about this with Deco. Now is the time to talk, and we will take our time." Flick spoke about the player who surprised him the most in his performance this season, saying: "I don't think it's fair to choose just one player, because for me, the most important thing is the team, and of course, we have players with amazing potential, like Lamine, Pedri, and Frenkie de Jong, and if you see Kopasi, it's not easy to play like that."
