Golden Boot winners over the past 20 years

Sporting Lisbon's Victor Gjokeres tops the list of candidates for the current edition of the Golden Boot award for the top scorer in European leagues during the 2024-25 season. The Swedish striker tops the list with 57 points, followed by Liverpool's Mohamed Salah in second place with 56 points. Just two points behind Egyptian international Salah in third place is Real Madrid's French star Kylian Mbappé, who raised his tally to 54 points after his hat-trick in El Clásico against Barcelona. Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski, who has 50 points from his 25 La Liga goals, shares fourth place with Bayern Munich's Harry Kane. Several prominent stars have won the European Golden Boot award in recent years.
