Ancelotti's first comment on coaching Brazil

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed he is happy with the great time he has spent with the club, following the official announcement of his departure to coach the Brazilian national team at the end of the season. Speaking at a press conference ahead of the La Liga match against Real Mallorca, Ancelotti said: "The last matches are always competitive. We have a lot of injuries. We will try to play with a competitive team and win these three matches. The league isn't over yet, and we don't want to give up. We want to perform well and finish a difficult season well." He added: "I feel that from May 26 I will be the coach of Brazil. It's a big challenge, but I am still the coach of Real Madrid. I want to finish this part of this great adventure well. I know you will be interested in what I do, but I have to think about the days I have spent here. Out of respect for this club and its fans, I am focused on this final stage of this incredible adventure." The Italian coach continued, saying: "The club will issue a statement when they want to. There is no problem at all. I don't know when they will do it. They will do it at the times they see fit, there is nothing more to say." Ancelotti explained: "Football, like life, is an adventure that begins and ends. I have always kept in mind that one day it will end. It is a very beautiful period that is coming to an end. I have had a great time. But like everything in life, it is the same." He continued: "I have had a great time and I want to end it well. On May 26, I will talk about another challenge. I have never had any problems with the club and I never will. It is the club I carry in my heart and I will keep it there even when this adventure is over. It is coming to an end after a few years in which we have won many titles."
