One million riyals as a bonus for each player in Al-Ahli Jeddah

Saudi press reports indicated that Al-Ahli Jeddah players will receive a financial reward of one million riyals each, after winning the AFC Champions League Elite title. Al-Ahli achieved this achievement by defeating Japan's Kawasaki Frontale 2-0 in the final match held on Saturday at Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported that Al-Ahli Sports Company will bear 700,000 riyals of the total reward, while the Ministry of Sports will cover the remaining amount. This is in implementation of the directives of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, who had previously announced via the "X" platform the allocation of bonuses for players upon reaching the final, estimated at 100,000 riyals, with an additional 200,000 riyals in the event of winning the tournament. Al-Ahli's coronation came after a distinguished journey, as the team qualified for the final after defeating Al-Hilal 3-1 in the semi-finals, before achieving its first continental title, having lost the 2012 final to South Korea's Ulsan Hyundai. The rewards are expected to be paid to the players in the next few days.
