Casemiro Nears Ronaldo’s Record Salary After Massive Pay Rise

Huge Salary Boost Brings Casemiro Closer to Ronaldo’s Earnings
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro will receive a massive pay rise if they win the Europa League this season, securing their place in next season's Champions League, according to press reports. Manchester United are on the cusp of reaching the Europa League final on May 21, having secured a 3-0 first-leg victory over Athletic Bilbao, before the return leg at Old Trafford. According to the Mirror, Casemiro's contract with Manchester United includes a clause that guarantees him a 25% increase in his weekly salary if the team qualifies for the Champions League. If United win the Europa League in Bilbao on May 21, Casemiro's weekly salary will rise to a massive £100,000, bringing his weekly salary to £500,000 – the same amount Cristiano Ronaldo earned during his second spell at the club. The newspaper explains that this clause was included in Casemiro's contract when he moved to Manchester United in the summer of 2022, at a time when the team was absent from the Champions League.
