As the 2024-25 Europa League semi-finals approach, global statistics company Opta's supercomputer has highlighted the chances of the four remaining teams competing for the title. Tottenham Hotspur will face Norwegian rivals Bodo Glimt in the Europa League semi-finals, while Manchester United will face a tough match against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday evening. According to the global network, Tottenham topped the list of favorites to win the European tournament with a 32.6% chance, ahead of Athletic Bilbao, who came in second with 31%, and Manchester United in third with 24.3%. Despite their domestic dominance and winning four of the last five Norwegian league titles, Norwegian side Bodo Glimt came in last in terms of their chances of winning the Europa League, with a probability of just 12.1%. The supercomputer analyzes historical and recent performance data for each team, along with Opta Power rating indicators, to estimate the probability of winning, drawing, and losing. It then conducts a comprehensive simulation of the tournament 10,000 times to provide accurate predictions based on objective data.
