Dembele's injury worries PSG

French newspaper Onze Mondial reported that there are doubts about the participation of Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé in the decisive second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Arsenal, after he suffered a hamstring injury during the first leg held on Tuesday evening at the Emirates Stadium. The match ended with a 1-0 victory for the Parisian team, with Dembélé scoring the goal. The newspaper explained that Dembélé felt severe pain in the hamstring muscle in the final minutes of the match, prompting the technical staff to immediately substitute him. Initial tests confirmed a problem in that area of the body. According to the newspaper, there are conflicting reports about the severity of the injury. While some sources spoke of the player's optimism and indications from the club that he may recover quickly, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique was more cautious in his statements, stressing that accurate medical tests will determine whether the player will be able to participate in the second leg, which will be held next week at the Parc des Princes. For his part, Alain Simon, the former doctor of Paris Saint-Germain, told L'Equipe that Dembélé's participation in the second leg will depend on the nature of the injury. Simon explained that if the injury is a muscle spasm, he may be able to play, but if the injury is a muscle tear, even of the first degree, he will need at least a week to recover. However, in the case of a minor muscle strain, he may be able to participate in the match.
