Paris breaks Milan's historic achievement

Paris Saint-Germain achieved an unprecedented feat in Europe's top five leagues, the "Big 5," after drawing 1-1 with Nantes in the postponed match of the 29th round of the French Ligue 1 for the 2024-25 season, which took place on Tuesday evening. The Parisian team opened the scoring through Portuguese player Vitinha, who scored a wonderful goal with a direct shot after a brilliant individual effort from Ousmane Dembélé and a decisive pass from South Korean Lee Kang-in in the 33rd minute. However, Nantes managed to equalize in the 83rd minute through Brazilian Douglas Augusto, who fired a powerful left-footed shot into the net. According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, this draw gave Paris Saint-Germain a new record in the major European leagues, as the team reached 39 consecutive matches without defeat away from home in the French league, breaking the previous record held by AC Milan under coach Fabio Capello, who maintained a record of 38 matches without defeat away from home in 1993. It is noteworthy that Paris Saint-Germain's last away defeat in the league was against Monaco, 3-1, earlier, before this historic unbeaten streak began.
