Real Madrid's secret plan to oust Ancelotti

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti's future with Real Madrid remains shrouded in mystery since the team's Champions League quarter-final exit at the hands of Arsenal, despite having one more year left on his contract, which expires in the summer of 2026. According to reports from Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, Ancelotti's continued tenure at the club through the Club World Cup, scheduled to be held in the United States next summer, appears unlikely at the moment. The report added that the most likely scenario is for Ancelotti to leave Real Madrid at the end of the current season, with his final stop being winning the Spanish League and the Spanish King's Cup. This would be an ideal end to his career with the club, without facing any criticism from the club's management or fans. The report indicated that Real Madrid's management has already begun developing plans for the post-Ancelotti era, especially in light of preparations for the Club World Cup, which will be held from June 14 to July 13. As the tournament approaches, questions are being raised about who will lead the team during it. Whether Argentine Santiago Solari, the current sporting director and a former coach, will take over, or whether a new coach, expected next season, will agree to lead the team during the World Cup, are being debated.
