Nunez decides his fate with Liverpool

Press reports revealed that Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez, a Liverpool player, has decided to leave the English club at the end of the current season, despite his contract with the Reds running until 2028. According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nunez has been feeling uneasy at Anfield recently, particularly after his role in the starting lineup declined under new Dutch coach Arne Slot, who has increasingly relied on the trio of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo, alongside Egyptian star Mohamed Salah. Reports added that the player is experiencing what could be described as his "final months at Liverpool," having already begun studying offers from European clubs in preparation for deciding his next destination during the summer transfer window. For its part, Liverpool's management has no objection to Nunez's departure, especially after a series of inconsistent performances and missed crucial opportunities, most notably his missed penalty against Paris Saint-Germain, which directly contributed to the team's elimination from the Champions League.
