Guinness World Records honors Cristiano Ronaldo

In an exceptional gesture, the Guinness Book of World Records honored Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo before the start of his country's match against Denmark, after he achieved an unprecedented achievement in the history of international football. Ronaldo received the prestigious award after becoming the player with the most international victories, with 132 wins for the Portuguese national team, cementing his status as one of the greatest players in the history of football. The Portuguese captain participated in the starting lineup for the second leg of the European Nations Cup quarter-final, as he seeks to make up for the first-leg loss, which ended with Denmark winning 1-0 at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. Ronaldo is the world's all-time leading scorer and most-capped player for Portugal, having scored 135 goals and made 46 assists in 218 appearances for the Portuguese national team since his international career began in 2003. The 40-year-old Portuguese star boasts an impressive record and achievements, both with his national team and during his long career in major European leagues, which included a golden period with Real Madrid before a new experience with Saudi club Al-Nassr. Ronaldo has contributed to two of the most important achievements in Portugal's history, leading them to the Euro 2016 title and then winning the UEFA Nations League in 2019. His first victory for Portugal dates back to August 20, 2003, in a friendly match against Kazakhstan.
