Does Liverpool need a revolution in attack?

Liverpool, under Dutch manager Arne Slot, is in dire need of several changes, especially in attack, during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Reds fell 2-1 to Newcastle United, who recently won the English League Cup (Carabao Cup) for the first time. The British network, Liverpool Echo, reported that it may seem strange to criticize a team that has scored more than 100 goals in all competitions this season and leads the English Premier League by 12 points, but Liverpool has been gradually lacking the required attacking intensity. It added that looking at the attacking statistics, we find that Diogo Jota, who was again ineffective when he started the match, has not scored a goal in his last 10 matches. Darwin Nunez, who has offered little after replacing the Portuguese, has scored once in his last 13 matches. Colombian Luis Diaz has shown no improvement, scoring only once in his last 18 matches. Although Egyptian star Mohamed Salah remains one of the team's most prominent players, he has been experiencing a period of relative decline. His teammates were expected to perform at a stronger level to compensate for this, according to the report. However, the lack of effective contributions from the rest of the attacking line has placed greater responsibility on the Pharaohs' captain, increasing pressure on the team as a whole.
