Xavi refuses to coach in the 2025 Club World Cup

It seems that Spaniard Xavi Hernandez is in no hurry to return to the bench, despite the tempting offers he has received since leaving Barcelona. The latest of these offers came from Mexican club Monterrey, one of the giants of North American football, who tried to lure him to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States, but the Spanish star rejected the idea, according to Catalan newspaper Sport. Xavi, who bid farewell to Barcelona at the end of the 2023-24 season after a strained relationship with the club's management and president, Joan Laporta, has yet to decide on his next step, despite being linked to several clubs. Although Monterrey had hoped to bring him to lead the team in one of the world's most important club tournaments, the Spanish coach preferred to wait and not rush into making his next decision. It is worth noting that Monterrey is not just another Mexican team; it is one of the most decorated clubs on the continent and has extensive experience in international tournaments. However, this was not enough to convince Xavi to take the experience. In light of this refusal, the most important question remains: When and where will Xavi return to coaching? Is he waiting for a bigger European opportunity, or is he considering an unexpected experience? Only the coming days will reveal the mystery.
