Guardiola: Champions League qualification will be decided until the end

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the race to qualify for the Champions League will continue until the end of the current Premier League season. Guardiola's comments came after his team's 2-2 draw with Brighton, which saw City miss out on a top-four finish and settle for fifth with 48 points, one point behind Chelsea. However, fifth place is not guaranteed for Manchester City, as they are only one point ahead of Newcastle and Brighton, who occupy sixth and seventh places. Guardiola told the club's official website: "We still have nine games until the end of the season, and we will face difficult challenges, but I think the race to qualify for the Champions League will continue until the last moment." He added: "The game was very similar to the Nottingham Forest game; we didn't lose, but the goal wasn't enough to win. It will be very close until the end of the season." He continued: "The next game against Leicester is here, then we move to Old Trafford, but before that we face Bournemouth in the FA Cup."
