Fan anger shakes Milan!

AC Milan fans have expressed their discontent with the club’s management and owners after a series of disappointing results that have put the team’s hopes of finishing in the top four in jeopardy. The fans have held up a protest banner outside the club’s headquarters reading “Everyone go: you don’t deserve to stay.” In their last three matches, Milan have drawn 1-1 at home to Dutch side Feyenoord, which led to their elimination from the Champions League after a 2-1 aggregate defeat. The team has since suffered two consecutive 2-1 defeats to Torino and Bologna in Serie A. Milan currently sit eighth in the Serie A table, needing an average of 2.41 points per game to finish the season with 70 points, a figure that has been considered the benchmark for a top-four finish in the past three seasons, according to Football Italia. Results on the pitch have not been the only problem this season, with questions also being raised about the club’s senior leadership, particularly those responsible for recruitment. Coach Paulo Fonseca was hired in the summer, only to be replaced by Sergio Conceicao at the end of December, and now the current coach is facing the sack as well. The transfer policy this season has also been criticised. Alvaro Morata was signed in the summer, but was loaned to Galatasaray before the end of the winter transfer window. These developments have angered fans, who believe that the management and owners do not deserve to remain in their positions due to decisions that have led to the team’s deterioration in performance.
