Messi saves Miami in MLS opener

Inter Miami snatched an exciting draw from its guest, New York City, with two goals each in the match that brought them together at dawn on Sunday, in the opening of the new season of the American Football League. Inter Miami opened the scoring through Thomas Aviles in the fifth minute, assisted by Argentine star Lionel Messi, before the player who scored the goal was sent off in the 23rd minute. New York City took advantage of the numerical shortage in the ranks of the home team and scored the equalizer through Mitja Ilincic in the 26th minute. Alonso Martinez added the second goal for the guests in the 55th minute, before Telasco Jose Segovia succeeded in saving Inter Miami from defeat by scoring the second goal in the tenth minute of stoppage time through an assist from Argentine star Lionel Messi. Each team got a point at the start of their journey in the tournament during the new season.
