Van Dijk offered to Barcelona!

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is set to become a free agent when his current contract at Anfield expires, with reports linking him with a move to Barcelona in the summer. Van Dijk is entering the final months of his contract with the Reds, along with teammates Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold, and no agreement has yet been reached to extend their deals. According to Sport, the Dutch defender could head to La Liga if his contract is not renewed, with Barcelona believed to be one of the clubs interested in signing him. Barcelona are looking for a new central defender in anticipation of the departure of Andreas Christensen, who has fallen out of favour with coach Hansi Flick. Van Dijk could be offered to the Catalan club as a potential option to bolster their defence, with the club also interested in signing Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen. However, reports have suggested that signing Van Dijk may not be a priority for Barcelona, with the club's sporting director Deco ruling out the idea of signing the 33-year-old, given his incompatibility with Flick's style of play.
