Kompany reveals reasons behind defeat against Feyenoord
Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has said that the defeat suffered by the Bavarians against Dutch side Feyenoord in the Champions League was deserved because the team did not take advantage of the scoring opportunities that were available to them. Kompany said in statements published by the German newspaper "Bild": "We have to be honest, I think the loss was deserved. That's my point of view. It's not because we didn't run or fight. We ran and fought. But we felt that the decisive and dangerous moments were in their favor, and they took advantage of those moments very well." The Bayern coach added: "Individually and collectively, what we did during the match was not enough. We did our best, but the performance was not good enough. We had some chances that we could have scored, but we didn't take advantage of them in the best way." He continued: "I always had the feeling that we could have scored one or two goals, maybe more. But maybe in the last ten minutes, I felt that we could have done more to try to come back." "It was no surprise because we lacked concentration from the start of the game," Kompany explained. "The only positive thing for us now is that we will play again in two days. That's the best: always responding on the pitch."
