U.S Falls Flat in Draw with Jamaica

Jamaica tied the United States of America in the eighth round of the North American and Caribbean qualifiers for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Americans started the second half of World Cup qualifying with a bumpy 1-1 draw against Jamaica on Tuesday night. Tim Weah’s 11th-minute goal on a shot off his weaker left foot was offset by Michail Antonio’s spectacular 35-yard strike in the 22nd.
Mexico and Panama have 14 points each, followed by Costa Rica (nine), Jamaica (seven), El Salvador (six) and Honduras (three). The top three nations qualify from North and Central America and the Caribbean, and the fourth goes to a playoff.
The match was led by referee “Calderon” and hosted by “Independiente Park” stadium
