Arteta: Arsenal are real contenders for the Premier League title
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said his side struggled against Tottenham Hotspur but showed great courage to secure a 2-1 win in the North London derby at the Emirates Stadium in the 21st round of the English Premier League. Speaking at a press conference, Arteta said: "I think we were fantastic. We should have finished the game early, but that's what happened and it caused us suffering." The Gunners manager added: "The game is a test of the situation and how we deal with the circumstances, and also the courage we have and how focused we really are on the results." Asked if winning the North London derby proved to doubters that Arsenal are still a real contender for the Premier League title, Arteta explained: "We are, there is a lot to play for and you can see how difficult it is for any team to win." Arsenal revived their title hopes to become only four points behind leaders Liverpool, noting that the Reds have played one game less.
