Saudi Arabia returns a valuable draw against Australia 

Saudi Arabia returned, with a precious draw, from Australia in the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, in their encounter at Compank Stadium in Sydney, in the fifth round of the decisive qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
 
Saudi Arabia's balance rose by 13 points to the top of the standings, while Australia's balance remained at 10 points in second place.

The Saudi team started the match confused in the first 15 minutes, amid ineffective Australian pressure on Al-Rubaie goal.

Within the first 20 minutes, the Saudi team started receiving and controlling the ball, as they were playing in their most comfortable and ineffective manner on the Australian goal ward.
At the 35 minute, Awer Mabil lets fly with an ambitious effort that never looks likely of going in. This game is on a knife's edge and a goal would be massive going into half-time. 

The Saudi players began exchanging short balls with an organized performance to end the first half with a goalless draw, so the referee launched the end of the first half with a goalless draw.

The Second half
The  Australia starting the half with plenty of intensity but still struggling to carve out any clear chances, pressing the Saudi team’s stadium, and almost advanced through right-back Ryan Grant, after a deceptive cross by Al-Rubaie that crossed everyone to leave the field in the 50th minute.
At the 60 minute, Leckie and Irvine spurn great chances to open the scoring within moments of each other. Leckie has an effort saved from a tight angle, while Irvine is unable to direct a shot on target from right in front. A super double save from the Saudi Arabia goalkeeper somehow keeps the Socceroos out following a free-kick. 

With the 75 minute, a huge chance for Saudi Arabia as Trent Sainsbury is unable to cut out a pass with Maty Ryan forced into a save and the ball eventually cleared away from danger. Harry Souttar is left needing some medical attention and has to be stretchered from the field. 

In the 83rd minute, with a beautiful header from Saleh Al-Shehri, passing by the left post, the Saudi pressure continued, and Mathieu Royan was creative by blocking Salem Al-Dosari's powerful shot at the 84th minute.

The match continued with high pressure and controlling from the Saudi players in the last quarter of an hour, until the referee called off the match ended in a goalless draw.
