Real Sociedad are reportedly planning to complete a major deal during the upcoming winter transfer window. The newspaper indicated that the club is seeking to sign a striker capable of playing as a winger or in midfield. It stated that Marco Asensio is an old target for the club, as Real Sociedad had previously tried to sign him when he was about to leave Real Madrid, but Paris Saint-Germain's offer had tempted him at the time. The newspaper added that the opportunity may be available again for both parties, especially after Luis Enrique decided to marginalize Asensio and give him a reserve role at Paris Saint-Germain. According to reports, the French club is seeking a new destination for the player outside the Parc des Princes.
