Arsenal set home record
Arsenal, led by coach Mikel Arteta, continued its distinguished record in the matches it played at home in the Champions League. The London team defeated its guest, Monaco, with three clean goals in the match that brought them together on Wednesday evening, in the sixth round of the league stage of the Champions League in the current season 2024-2025. Statistics reveal that since the beginning of last season, Arsenal has won seven of its eight matches at home in the Champions League (one draw), and kept a clean sheet in every victory. Those seven clean sheets are the most for a team at home in the past two seasons. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 14 home games in all competitions (W12 D2), their best run under current manager Mikel Arteta and their best since Arsene Wenger's 18 games between March and November 2017. Arsenal, who have two games left against Dinamo Zagreb and Girona, moved up to 13 points with the win, while Monaco remain 16th in the table on 10 points.
