Neuer, 38, had normally rushed away from his goal, but his actions led to him receiving a straight red card. Neuer was seen apologizing to coach Vincent Kompany after leaving the pitch. It is worth noting that Neuer has received 23 yellow cards throughout his career with Bayern Munich, without receiving a warning in his international career that spanned 124 matches with the German national team.
