Neuer gets sent off for the first time in his career!

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was sent off after just 18 minutes of the DFB Cup match against Bayer Leverkusen, after a strong challenge on Frimpong outside the penalty area, for the first time in his career. Neuer, 38, had normally rushed away from his goal, but his actions led to him receiving a straight red card. Neuer was seen apologizing to coach Vincent Kompany after leaving the pitch. It is worth noting that Neuer has received 23 yellow cards throughout his career with Bayern Munich, without receiving a warning in his international career that spanned 124 matches with the German national team. The match between the 20-time league champions, Bayern Munich, and the title holders, Bayer Leverkusen, witnessed a tense atmosphere, as referee Harm Osmers showed three yellow cards in addition to the red card that Neuer received in the first 22 minutes of the match.
