Ancelotti breaks Ferguson's record

Carlo Ancelotti has achieved a new historic achievement in his coaching career, after becoming the first coach in the history of the Champions League to reach 215 matches, when his team Real Madrid face Liverpool on Wednesday in the fifth round of the competition. With this number, Ancelotti was able to break the previous record held by the legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson, who played 214 matches in the tournament. The Italian coach, 65 years old, is one of the most successful coaches in the history of the tournament, as he won the Champions League title five times, twice with Milan and three times with Real Madrid, the last of which was last season. In terms of results, Real Madrid entered this match after achieving two victories in the Champions League, against two losses, to collect only 6 points before facing Liverpool. Ancelotti is expected to be a candidate to extend his record in the current version of the tournament.
