Negative number for Italy after losing 3-0 at home

Italy fell to a negative record after losing 1-3 to France in the match held on Sunday evening at the San Siro stadium, in the second group of the European Nations League. This loss is the first for Italy at home by a two-goal difference since October 15, 1983, 41 years ago, when it was defeated 0-3 by Sweden in the European Championship qualifiers, according to the Opta network. This match was a comeback for the French team, which had suffered a heavy defeat from Italy at the beginning of the tournament at the Parc des Princes stadium 72 days ago, when it lost 3-1. With its victory, the French team raised its score to 13 points, equal with Italy in second place, but with a goal difference in favor of the French Roosters, to ensure their qualification together to the quarter-finals scheduled to be held next March.
