Arsenal in talks with Luis Campos to replace Edu
Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos is one of the names Arsenal are considering as a potential replacement for Brazilian Edu, who left the club earlier this month, according to Sky Sports. The interest comes after Campos failed to renew his contract with the French champions, which expires next summer. Campos, who joined PSG in June 2022, has a strong reputation for spotting young talent and developing players, having helped shift the club's policy from signing big stars to focusing on strengthening the squad with young talents such as Vitinha, Bradley Barcola and Joao Neves. In addition to his distinguished career at PSG, Campos is considered one of the most prominent sporting directors in Europe, having previously achieved great success with clubs such as Monaco and Lille, bringing in several players who were sold for huge profits, such as Kylian Mbappe, Victor Osimhen and Bernardo Silva. Despite Arsenal's strong interest in Campos, the London club is in no rush to make a final decision on Edu's successor. The search is still in its early stages, as the club continues to define the exact requirements for the next sporting director, who will lead the recruitment and transfer process in the future.
