Al-Masry's adventure came to an end as the Egyptian league side crashed out of playoff with a negative draw against Smouha in the match that was held on Monday at Burj Al Arab Stadium, in the second round of the Premier League.
Smouha's most dangerous attack was shown in the 42nd minute, in which Amir Adel shot from inside the penalty zone to the left, but goalkeeper Ahmed Masoud wonderfully removed the ball away from his net.
This is the first negative tie in the current edition of the Egyptian Premier League. With this result, Al-Masry scored the second point after previous draw with Ghazl El-Mahalla in the first round of the league.
Smouha also tied with Al Ittihad in the first round to score only two points ranking in the eleventh place.
