Al-Hilal of Sudan qualifies for the CAF Champions League groups stage beats Rivers United of Nigeria
Al-Hilal of Sudan succeeded in securing a seat in the group stage of the CAF African Champions League, eliminated Nigerian Rivers United from the 2021-22 CAF Champions League play-offs after they suffered a 1-0 defeat against l Hilal in their second leg fixture on Sunday, with two goals to one in the total of the two matches in the round of 32.

Rivers were stunned at the New Suez Stadium in Egypt by Yasil Mohamed's goal in the fourth minute which ended up separating both teams as the Sudanese hosts cruised into the group stage with a 2-1 aggregate win.
At the same time, Algeria's ES Setif turned its first-leg loss against Mauritania's Nouadhibou 3-1, to win the second leg in Algeria with two clean goals, to turn the table on the guests, taking advantage of the rule of calculating the goal away from the ground with two goals in the first match.
Setif joined the group stage qualifiers. Al-Ahly and Zamalek qualified beating Nigeria’s Sportive and Kenya's Tusker, respectively, while Tanzania's Simba, South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, Tunisia's Esperance and Guinea's Houria also qualified.
