Klopp: I will not coach the German national team!
Former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out taking over as Germany coach in the near future, replacing Julian Nagelsmann. Speaking to reporters in Berlin, Klopp said he hoped Nagelsmann would continue in his role with the German national team beyond 2026. Rudi Völler, the sporting director of the German Football Association, had previously suggested that Klopp could be a potential candidate to replace Nagelsmann if he leaves the national team. Nagelsmann, 37, has extended his contract with the German national team until the 2026 World Cup. In response to the speculation, Klopp said: "Rudi Völler is a very nice person, but I don't like to talk about things that I have nothing to say." The German coach, who left Liverpool after nine successful years, also indicated that he is currently taking a break and did not rule out the possibility of retiring from coaching in the future.
