Bellingham rejects shoulder surgery

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has reportedly ignored medical advice after avoiding surgery to treat a long-standing shoulder problem. There were suggestions that the England international would have to undergo surgery after representing his country at Euro 2024. Bellingham has played in pain for much of the 2023-24 season after dislocating his shoulder during an October match with Rayo Vallecano. Nearly 12 months on, the ailment continues to cause problems for Bellingham, with Carlo Ancelotti revealing that the 21-year-old no longer plays with a brace, but was seen holding his shoulder again after coming off against Espanyol. According to Marca, Bellingham has been advised to rest, however, he is reluctant to heed that advice after recently missing a month with a foot complaint. The England midfielder is said to have no intention of sitting out matches as he attempts to regain fitness. Bellingham could miss Tuesday's La Liga clash with Alaves, giving him a break.
