Modric: Real Madrid never give up
Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has confirmed that the royal team will not give up until the end, after turning the tables on Espanyol by coming back from behind to win 4-1 in the Spanish league. Modric said in statements published by the Spanish newspaper Marca, "We played a good match, especially in the first half. It is true that it is difficult for us to score goals in the first half, but we created a lot, which is why we scored the second goal, we created a lot with and without the ball and this match will give us confidence." The Croatian added, "We have a lot to improve on. We played a very good match, the team played very well, I do not know if it was the best or not, but we played a great match and we can be happy, but we have to continue." Regarding the failure to score in the first half, Modric explained, "The first half against Espanyol, first of all, we played very well, but it is true that it was difficult for us to score goals. In the second half, due to our physical fitness and quality, we were able to score, because we pass the ball very quickly. We do not give up and in the end this gives us the victory."
