Conte responds to Thiago Motta's statements
Napoli coach Antonio Conte has confirmed that his goal is to return the southern team to compete for various major titles, after a goalless draw with Juventus at the Allianz Stadium, in the fifth round of the Italian Football League for the 2024-2025 season. Conte said in statements published by the Football Italia website: "Certainly, our ambition is to return Napoli to what it has been for many years as soon as possible. After all, we have always competed for European cups, whether it was in the Europa League or the Champions League in recent years." He added, "Last year was unfortunate from this perspective, and we paid the price for it. But it was important to play a difficult match against a big club to understand if we are on the right track and if we can soon return to the level of a strong team." Regarding Juventus coach Thiago Motta's statements that his team performed better, Conte explained: "Evaluations are always subjective. In the end, our goalkeeper did not even have to save it. Di Gregorio made an incredible save on Lukaku and another on McTominay. We can improve in the offensive phase."
