Strong struggle in the Champions League tonight

English: English Premier League champions Manchester City are set to host Italian side Inter Milan today in the new Champions League format. City, who won the title for the first time in their history last season after beating Inter Milan in the final, are looking to successfully begin their title defence in light of the major changes to the tournament this season. The Europa League has seen a major expansion as the participating teams increased from 32 to 36, with a single group system in which each team plays eight matches against different teams. On the other hand, French side Paris Saint-Germain, led by Spanish coach Luis Enrique, are looking to start the continental season strongly as they host Spanish side Girona. Paris Saint-Germain, who have not won the Champions League in previous editions, are hoping that the new edition will give the team the opportunity to succeed, despite the absence of their Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma due to injury. In other matches, German side Dortmund will face Belgian side Club Brugge in their first test under coach Nuri Sahin, while Italian side Bologna will return to the Champions League after a 60-year absence against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk. Scottish side Celtic will also play Slovan Bratislava, while Austrian side Salzburg will visit Czech side Sparta Prague. The new Champions League season begins with great anticipation from football fans around the world, with exciting matches and new challenges for the big clubs expected.
