What did Slot say about facing Milan?
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has stressed his respect for his rivals Milan ahead of Tuesday's match at the San Siro in the first round of the Champions League. "It will be a big game for me because of the history of the two teams and the stadium. I'm looking forward to it, we're not afraid of them. They have quality and we respect them but we're not afraid," Slot said in statements published on the club's official website. "Not rotating wasn't the reason for our loss against Nottingham Forest. Everyone can say what they want, the reason is that many of the main players weren't at their best. There's no guarantee that we would have won if we rotated because many of the players didn't do what they were capable of in the first place." Slot spoke about the new Champions League system, saying, "It's hard to say how many points we'll need. Under the previous system we qualified with six points against Feyenoord. But that means more great games to watch, especially for the fans and those who follow in their homes, but for the players we'll find out later."
