Chelsea is the most expensive team in history!
Chelsea topped the list of the most expensive football clubs in the world, according to a report by the CIES Observatory Football, after setting an unprecedented record in transfer costs. According to the report, Chelsea spent a total of 1.28 billion euros on buying players, including add-ons, to become the highest-spending club in football history. Manchester United came in second place with a transfer cost of 1.038 billion euros, while Manchester City came in third with 1.017 billion euros. Arsenal came in fourth place with 798 million euros, followed by Tottenham Hotspur in fifth place with 787 million euros. Paris Saint-Germain came in sixth place with a cost of 772 million euros. In other places, Liverpool came in seventh with 735 million euros, Real Madrid in eighth with 720 million euros, and Newcastle United in ninth with 683 million euros. Juventus topped the list of the most expensive Italian clubs in tenth place with a cost of 626 million euros. In Serie A, Napoli came in second with €394m, Milan third with €375m and Inter fourth with €329m. Roma’s revenues fell to €261m, Atalanta sixth with €258m, Fiorentina seventh with €196m, Bologna eighth with €171m and Lazio ninth with €161m. These figures highlight the continued dominance of English clubs in the transfer market, despite the decline in fees paid in recent years.
